VAT INCREASE, the facts!

As you've probably heard by now, as from 1st October 2012 the Chancellor of the Exchequer has decided to put 20% VAT on all Sports Nutrition drinks and supplements.

Despite the industry's best efforts, we have been unable to overturn this decision! This increase will have a significant effect on those products that have until now been VAT free i.e. Protein Powders, Recovery drinks, Mass Gainers and Creatine. We feel that this is in complete contradiction of the Governments commitment to improving public health, but alas we have no choice!
