As you're no doubt aware, the rate for VAT returns to 17.5% from 6am on 1 January 2010. Since 1 December 2008, the rate has been at 15%, in an effort to help the UK economy to rebuild itself after the worldwide recession.

The introduction of the 15% rate enabled us to hold the 2008 prices throughout  2009 - despite large increases in raw material and other costs. And throughout the year, we've been grateful for your continued support. As a 'Thank you' for that support, we're holding off on the VAT increase until 1 February 2010.

This means that for the whole of January, the price you pay will be unaffected by the increase in VAT. So why not take advantage and stock up now?
